Spherion Connellsville is working to fill a Day Shift, Slitter Operator position in Mount Pleasant, PA. The pay rate is $17.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and good with your hands? We are looking for a Slitting Machine Operator to join our printing and label team! In this role, you will run machines that cut big master rolls of printed labels into smaller rolls for our customers.

You will work a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

We use a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. This means:

You work 2 days, take 2 days off, and work 3 days.

You only work 7 days out of every 14 days!

Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend off.

What you'll do:

• Set Up the Machine: Load big rolls of printed material onto the machine using hoists or lifts. Set the blades to cut the right width.
• Run the Slitter: Operate the machine safely to cut master rolls into finished label rolls.
• Inspect for Quality: Watch the labels as they run. Look for print mistakes, wrong colors, or bad cuts so our customers get perfect products.
• Pack and Label: Unload finished rolls, wrap them, place them on pallets, and attach core labels.
• Keep Clean & Safe: Clean your workspace and follow all factory safety rules.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months

At least 1 year of experience running machinery (factory, printing, or packaging experience is a plus!)., Basic math skills (ability to read a tape measure and handle simple numbers)., Good eyesight and attention to detail to catch small print errors., Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
