Slitter Operator

Spherion Connellsville is working to fill a 1st Shift, Slitter Operator position in Mount Pleasant, PA. The pay rate is $17.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We make big parts for printers. A Slitter Operator runs a machine that cuts large rolls of paper, plastic, or metal into smaller, thinner rolls.

We will teach you how to use the machine! You just need to be ready to learn, follow safety rules, and work hard.

What you'll do:

• Run the Machine: Put large rolls of material onto the cutting machine (the slitter).
• Set Up the Cutters: Adjust the machine blades so they cut the rolls to the exact right size.
• Check the Quality: Watch the machine while it runs. Make sure the cuts are straight and smooth, not ripped.
• Unload and Pack: Take the smaller rolls off the machine, check them, and pack them safely for shipping.
• Stay Safe: Wear your safety gear (like steel-toe boots and safety glasses) and keep your area clean.

Education: High School

Experience: 6 months
