Machine Operator

Spherion Connellsville is working to fill a Night Shift 7pm-7am, Machine Operator position in Mount Pleasant, PA. The pay rate is $18.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are looking for a Slitter Operator to join our team! In this job, you will use a large machine to cut big rolls of material into smaller, thinner rolls.

You will work 12-hour shifts at night. The 2-2-3 schedule means you only work 15 days a month. You will even get a three-day weekend every other week!

What you'll do:

• Run the Machine: Set up the blades and rollers to cut the material correctly.
• Check Your Work: Use rulers and tools to make sure the cuts are the perfect size.
• Move Material: Load large rolls onto the machine and take the finished ones off.
• Keep it Clean: Make sure your work area is clean and safe.
• Fix Problems: Watch the machine to make sure the material doesn't wrinkle or tear.

Education: High School

Physical:

• will be standing for 12 hour shift
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling

Skills:

• Good Math Skills: You must be able to read a ruler very well.
• Hard Worker: You can stand for a long time and lift heavy items.
• Safety First: You must follow all rules to keep yourself and others safe.
• Be on Time: We need someone who shows up for every shift ready to work.
