Accounting Assistant

Spherion Connellsville is working to fill an Accounting Assistant position in Lemont Furnace, PA. The pay rate is $15.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a flexible work schedule of 20-30 hours a week. Must be an expert with Quickbooks. Pay increase after conversion.

Job Description:

An accounting job using QuickBooks involves managing financial transactions, bookkeeping, and reporting using the QuickBooks software. Key responsibilities include recording transactions, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, processing payroll, and generating financial reports. Proficiency in QuickBooks and accounting principles is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Record-keeping: Maintain and update the company's financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Bank and Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Payroll Processing: Handle payroll operations, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Financial Reporting: Generate and analyze financial statements, reports, and other documents as needed.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenses, and identify variances from the budget.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare documents for tax filings and collaborate with accountants on tax-related matters.
• Collaboration: Work with other team members, clients, or external experts like CPAs to ensure financial data is accurate.
