Spherion Bedford is working to fill a 1st Shift, Manufacturing Quality Manager position in Bedford, PA.
Description:
he role focuses on ensuring products meet customer and company standards while overseeing inspections, resolving quality issues, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
- Lead quality operations for tire and wheel assembly.
- Ensure products meet customer and company standards.
- Monitor defects, scrap, rework, and returns and drive corrective actions.
- Oversee inspections, audits, and quality documentation.
- Resolve customer and supplier quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement/Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
- Train and supervise quality inspectors and production staff.
- Support quality requirements for new equipment and process changes.
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Education: High School
Experience: 60 months
5+ years manufacturing quality experience., Leadership/supervisory experience preferred., Experience with tire, wheel, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred, Knowledge of quality systems, inspection, and Lean/Six Sigma.Physical:
- Heavy Lifting (50+ lbs)
- Standing / Walking
