Spherion Altoona is working with a client in their search to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position in Williamsburg, PA. The pay rate is $28.41 HOURLY.
Description:
We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support the upkeep, repair, and optimization of essential equipment in a fast-paced production setting. In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
What you'll do:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and facility systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts usage documentation.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify equipment issues and coordinate repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with company and regulatory standards.
Education: High School
Experience: 48 months
Related Experience: Industry related experience and mechanical knowledge required, Basic math skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Willingness to work overtime
