Spherion Altoona is working to fill a 2nd Shift, Maintenance Technician position. The pay rate is $25.00 HOURLY.
Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing systems to maintain a safe, efficient, and functional environment.
What you'll do:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore it to safe, proper working condition.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks across multiple sites using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Use the CMMS to track PMs, log repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to support a multi-shift production environment, achieving output, quality, and cost goals.
- Ensure machines operate at optimal uptime and meet quality and production schedule requirements.
- Install, test, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and associated controls.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of maintenance training programs.
- Promote and implement Lean Manufacturing practices to support a culture of continuous improvement and eliminate waste.
Education: High School
Experience: 24 months
