Spherion is hiring a Welder in Washington. The Welder position offers a 7am to 3pm schedule with a pay rate of $20 to $25 per hour. The Welder position is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Description:

As a Welder you would be responsible for welding and assembling metal parts and structures.

What you'll do:

• Welding and assembling metal pieces and structures
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Running saws, grinders, and welding machines
• Performing quality checks on finished products
• Wearing proper PPE at all times
• Utilization of various fabrication tools
• Assisting in other areas as needed

Education: High School

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 24 months

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting, Experience with welding thing gauge metals

Physical:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel

Skills:

• MIG and TIG Welding
• Stick Welding (preferred)
• Welding thin gauge metals
• Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Understanding of various metal types and thicknesses
• Understanding of math (fractions, decimals, and measurements)
