Spherion is hiring for a Welder in Washington. The Welder position offers a 7a-3p schedule paying $20-$25 per hour.
Description:
As a Welder you would be responsible for assembling and welding various metal components and structures.
What you'll do:
- Welding and assembling metal structures and components
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications
- Setting up welding equipment
- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Operating grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment
- Maintenance of welding equipment
- Following proper safety procedures and wearing proper PPE
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Technical training or certification in welding preferred
Experience: 24 months
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentPhysical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills:
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding
- Stick Welding (preferred)
- Ability to comprehend blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding of metal types and thicknesses
- Understanding of math (fractions, decimals, and measurements)
