Spherion is hiring for a Welder Fabricator in Imperial. The Welder Fabricator position pays $18.75-24.50 per hour and offers a 7a-3:30p schedule. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.
Description:
As a Welder Fabricator you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately welding steel subassemblies.
What you'll do:
- Welding steel subassemblies
- Ensuring accuracy of measurements and dimensions on finished products
- Reviewing blueprints and technical drawings
- Implementing new processes as needed
- Utilization of fabrication machinery to include grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, and shears
- Creating templates for common work tasks
- Assisting in other areas as needed
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 12 months
1-3 years of Fabrication experience, AWS B2.1/B21M Qualified welderPhysical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, and kneel
Skills:
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S
- Ability to comprehend blueprints, schematics, and work specifications
- Familiarity with ERP and SAP (Preferred)
- Communication skills
