Athletic Trainer

We are in search of a full time, direct hire Athletic Trainer in Huntingdon, PA to responsible for providing medical treatment, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries that occur to athletes on campus

This is a year round position with benefits and pay starts at $50K You will Provide medical coverage for practices and competitions as deemed necessary by the Director of Sports Medicine, including some travel for select away competitions.

What you'll do:

• Regular evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and referral of varsity student-athletes’ injuries and conditions 
• Documentation of injuries, therapy, referrals and other pertinent interactions
• Provide communications between student-athletes, coaches, Team Physician and administrators as necessary.
• Assist with inventory ordering and maintenance of the Sports Medicine department supplies and equipment.
• Referral to and communication with appropriate external healthcare practitioners
• Work closely with other internal support personnel including Athletic Administration, Sport Performance, Event Management, sport coaches, compliance coordinator etc.
• Attend department meetings, designated campus events when appropriate. 

Education: Postgraduate Degree

• You will have
• Master’s Degree preferred in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science
• NATA BOC Certification required • Licensed or the ability to be licensed in the Commonwealth of PA Department of State
• Emergency Cardiac Care Certification required
• CPR/AED/ First Aid certification required 

Experience: 24 months
