Director Eng. product development and quality control

We are searching for a full time direct hire Director of Engineering, Product Development and Quality Control in Ebensburg, PA to oversee and coordinat the daily functions of

the associated departments in support of the Agency’s mission and business objectives

2. Develop and implement a strategic management plan related to product development, engineering initiatives and quality control.

3. Provide leadership and guidance regarding engineering functions and operations including research and development, quality assurance, testing, and production of new and existing product lines.

4. Manage the budgets and associated projects to ensure cost effectiveness.

5. Work directly with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that the required standards are being met.

6. Remain current with new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices.

7. Collaborate with leadership to determine and achieve priorities according to business objectives.

8. Supervise the creation and review of engineering and quality policies and procedures.

9. Continually research and analyze associated data and reports to ensure compliance with functional and performance specifications.

10. Ensure that support to sales and marketing departments regarding product presentations and customer support is being provided in a timely and professional manner.

11. Utilize engineering and designing software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.

12. Attend trade shows and training conferences, as required.

13. Attend social recreation events to provide supervision and assistance for

handicapped individuals, as required.

What you'll do:

• Be responsible for overseeing the Engineering, Product Development and Quality Control departments to ensure that products meet the highest standards and align with the Agency’s brand and business objectives in order to remain competitive within the industry.

Education: Bachelor Degree

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum of two years related experience in product research and development.
• Professional Engineer certification required.
• Must initiate certification process in International Organization of Standards (ISO) within two years of employment.

Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Professional communication skills. Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
