Spherion Johnstown is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Part Time Janitor Custodian position in Johnstown, PA. The pay rate is $10.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

We are looking for a reliable Part-Time Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for our facility. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that offices, restrooms, and common areas are sanitized and welcoming for our team and visitors.

What you'll do:

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 1 months

Physical:

• Mobility: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
• Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs (trash bags, equipment, or supplies).
• Physical Range: Comfortable with frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and climbing ladders.
• Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions and operate manual or power cleaning equipment.

Skills:

• Reliable and able to work independently.
•  Knowledge of basic cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Physical stamina for lifting and movement.
