Spherion Johnstown is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift, Human Resource Assistant position in Johnstown, PA. The pay rate is $22.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

• Recruitment: Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
• Onboarding: Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientations.
• Employee Records: Maintain accurate digital and physical personnel files for compliance.
•  Benefits Admin: Support open enrollment and handle basic inquiries regarding PTO and insurance.
• Payroll Support: Verify timecards and assist in processing weekly or bi-weekly payroll.

What you'll do:

• Admin & Records: Manage employee files and process all onboarding/new hire paperwork.
• Hiring Support: Post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
• Employee Support: Serve as the main contact for questions on payroll, benefits, and company policy.
