Spherion Johnstown is working with a client in their search to fill a 2nd Shift, Warehouse Packer position in Somerset, PA. The pay rate is $15.40 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

As the tubes are filled, with caulking, silicone, epoxy etc, the machine places them in "blister packs" with a card sealed to the back. Packers remove the tubes from the machines and put them into boxes. The boxes are placed onto skids. Each box of tubes weighs 3.5 lbs. The employee may need to move the skid with the use of a pallet jack. Employees rotate throughout the production lines perform various tasks such as trash removal, sweeping work areas, removing trash from parking lot, stacking product, carrying card pads, and stacking empty drums on dock.

What you'll do:

• Job Duties for the Warehouse Packer are as follows:
• Remove tubes from machines and place them into boxes quickly
• Inspect product as you package items
• Place full boxes onto skids
• Use a pallet jack as needed
• Remove trash from work area
• Sweep up work area

Education: No formal education required.

Physical:

• Must be able to stand for 10 hour shift
• Lift up to 50lbs unassisted
