Spherion Bedford is working to fill a 2nd Shift, Security Guard position in Bedford, PA. The pay rate is $17.00 to $18.00 HOURLY.

Description:

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring systems, enforcing access control, and responding to incidents. This role supports 24/7 operations and works closely with internal teams and external partners to protect people, property, and operations.

What you'll do:

• Monitor and respond to camera, access control, and alarm systems; coordinate with internal and external partners to resolve incidents.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations, providing on-site security support and coordinating response efforts.
• Document and report incidents in accordance with company and departmental policies.
• Manage visitor, contractor, and vendor check-in; issue badges and enforce access control ID policies.
• Inspect and track trailers and containers in and out of the facility.
• Conduct regular security patrols to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and unauthorized activity.
• Operate radios, phones, and other communication devices to support security operations.
• Maintain readiness for emergency response; assist with evacuations and employee accountability as part of the site response team.
• Support 24/7 operations with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Education: High School

Experience: 12 months
